HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Mr. and Mrs. J.D. (Bo) Chrisco

Mr. and Mrs. J.D. (Bo) Chrisco, formerly of Randolph County, celebrated their 60th anniversary with a reception at Loves Chapel Methodist Church on Feb. 14, 2010.

They were married Feb. 17, 1950, in the home of Mrs. Chrisco’s parents, Robert and Mae Cox of the Erect Community.

The event was hosted by their only child, Sandy Hatley and her husband Gary.

Granddaughters Katie, Kellie and Kacie Hatley manned the register, served cake and punch, respectively.

Over 70 guests attended the event.

J.D. Chrisco is a native of Edgefield, S.C. He served in the Navy at the end of World War II and retired from Klopman/Burlington Transportation after 32 years as a long distance truck driver.

Treva Jane Cox Chrisco is a native of Randolph County. She worked as a timekeeper for Union Carbide before becoming a homemaker.

From 1970 to 1990, Mrs. Chrisco wrote the Country Music Notes for The Randolph Guide.

They lived the first 40 years of their marriage in Seagrove and then retired to Stanfield in Stanly County to be near their daughter.
