HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Vaughn and Goldie York

Vaughn and Goldie York of Staley will celebrate their 62nd anniversary on Feb. 28, 2010.

Vaughn York is a native of Staley and is a farmer. Goldie Stinson is a housewife. They both attended Ramseur High School and knew one another but didn’t begin dating until after he gave her a ride home after a revival.

They have three children – Ted York of Crowne Point, Ind., Chris York who lives at home, and Cathy Morrison of Charlotte, N.C. – and four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
