Lauren Ashley Cooper of Asheboro celebrated her 10th birthday on April 26, 2010.
Lauren is the daughter of Perry and Angela Cooper. She is the granddaughter of David and Barbara Whatley of Asheboro, Perry Sr. and Kathy Cooper of Asheboro and Sharon and Danny Coats of Randleman.
Great-grandparents are Neal and Dorothy Cooper of Asheboro, Nancy Freeman of Asheboro, the late William and Kathleen Swink, the late Clyde and Ona Parks, and the late Herman Dunn.
Lauren attends Southmont Elementary School where she is in the fourth grade, loves playing with her Chihuahuas Cream and Cap’n Jack. enjoys fishing with her daddy, playing games on her laptop and going swimming with her brother Dalton.

Chloe Rayne McCrary of Asheboro celebrated her fifth birthday on Aug. 23, 2010.
Chloe is the daughter of Ashley Lassiter and Walter McCrary Jr. of Asheboro. She is the granddaughter of Charles and Tammy Lassiter of Trinity and Walter and Shirley McCrary of Asheboro. Chloe like to play with dolls, video games, watch TV, play outside and play with her cousins. An Abby Cadabby party was planned with family and friends. -

Bayley Elise Coffey of Charlotte celebrated her fourth birthday on Aug. 20, 2010. Bayley is the daughter of Mark and Kimberly Coffey. She is the granddaughter of Kermit and Betty Thomas of Asheboro and Bill and Sylvia Coffey of Charlotte. Bayley attends Providence Baptist Wee-School and likes to swim, play with dolls, play dress up and play with her cousins. She celebrated with family and friends by having an Ariel birthday party at Ray’s Splash Planet in Charlotte.

Hampton and Mabel Pike of Staley observed their 60th wedding anniversary on July 30, 2010.
Hampton Pike is a native of Staley and is a farmer in Staley. Mabel West Pike is a native of Asheboro and is a housewife. They met in 1950 at a Staley School basketball game. They have two children, Donald Pike of Staley and Janet P. Hill of Staley; three grandchildren – Jessica H. Foster of Staley, Ann P. Nixon of Staley and Brad Pike of Asheboro; and one great-grandchild, Addison Pike.

Eli attends First Presbyterian Preschool and likes playing with Batman toys, riding his bicycle and swimming. He attends Browers Wesleyan Church. A party at Chuck E. Cheese was planned. -

William Ronald Lucas Sr. and Doris Talley Lucas of Asheboro observed their 50th anniversary on June 25, 2010. To celebrate they revisited their honeymoon site in Niagara Falls and had a family dinner at The Fearrington House Restaurant in Pittsboro.
