Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Lee Megerian of Asheboro, N.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Margaret Jeanne Megerian of Asheboro, N.C., to Oliver Benjamin Ham, son of Arthur Lee (George) Ham Jr. of Graysville, Ala., and Anni Zimmer Ham of Gries, Germany.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Edward John Megerian of Asheboro, N.C., the late Edward John Megerian, and the late Dr. and Mrs. Andrew McKnitt Henderson.
She is a 2001 graduate of Asheboro High School in Asheboro, N.C., and a 2005 graduate of Davidson College in Davidson, N.C., where she received a bachelor of arts degree in English.
She also is a 2009 graduate of N.C. Central University in Durham, N.C., where she received her juris doctor.
She is employed by Megerian & Wells, Attorneys at Law, in Asheboro, N.C.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lee Ham Sr. of Quinton, Ala., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zimmer.
He is a 2000 graduate of Willy Graf Schule in St. Ingbert, Germany, a 2005 graduate of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala., where he received a bachelor of arts degree in German and a bachelor of arts degree in history.
He is also a 2007 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received a master’s degree in German languages.
He is currently a graduate student at N.C. State University in Raleigh, N.C. in the Department of History.
He is employed by N.C. State University in Raleigh, N.C.
