Engagement: Boykin-Batts

The Rev. and Mrs. Phillip Boykin of Greenville, N.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Marie Boykin of Greenville, N.C., to Christopher Hunter Batts, son of Randy Batts of Greenville, N.C., and the late Carol Noble.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Marie Williams of Asheboro, the late L.C. Cole Jr., and Fred and Lottie Boykin of Wilson, N.C.

She is a 2004 graduate of D.H. Conley High School in Greenville, N.C., a 2008 graduate of N.C. State University in Raleigh, N.C., and a 2010 graduate of East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C., where she received a master’s of science degree in communication sciences and disorders.

She is employed by Britthaven of Wilson as a speech language pathologist.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Betty Batts of Greenville, N.C., the late Bill and Jean McCombs and the late Claud Batts.

He is a 2004 graduate of D.H. Conley High School in Greenville, N.C., and a 2008 graduate of Coker College in Hartsville, S.C., where he received a bachelor of science degree in business administration.

He is employed by Wells Fargo in Greenville, N.C.

The wedding is planned for 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Black Jack Original Free Will Baptist Church in Greenville, N.C.
