Karla Lynn Graves of Asheboro became the bride of Brandunn Scott Rush of Asheboro on Nov. 8, 2008, at First Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Hall and Pastor Todd McDonald officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Johnny and Nancy Graves of Asheboro and the granddaughter of Allene Little Yow. She is a 1997 graduate of Asheboro High School and is employed with Klaussner Home Furnishings of Asheboro as a merchandising product manager.
The groom is the son of Beth D. Rush of Asheboro and the late S. Scott Rush. H is the grandson of Joan Dunn of Asheboro and A.C. Dunn of Slier City. He is a 1992 graduate of Asheboro High School and a 1997 graduate of High Point University with a bachelor of arts degree in human relations. He is employed by Klaussner Home Furnishings as a national sales manager of upholstery.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. The maid of honor was Joanie Beth Rush of Asheboro, sister of the groom. The matron of honor was Vicki Garner of Asheboro. Bridesmaids were Nicki Voncannon of Asheboro, Caroline Clary of Newport News, Va., Megan Dunn of Raleigh and Mariann Dunn of Asheboro, both cousins of the groom, and Amber Brown of Winston-Salem, niece of the bride. Junior bridesmaids were Fallon and Tanner Brown, both of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, both nieces of the bride, and Kelsey Dunn of Asheboro, cousin of the groom.
Best men were Brocdunn Rush of Asheboro, brother of the groom, and A.C. Dunn of Siler City, grandfather of the groom. Ushers were Derek Dunn of Asheboro, uncle of the groom, Reid Saunders of Raleigh and Robbie Nicolaisen of Myrtle Beach, S.C., both cousins of the groom, Stephen Jamison and Todd Kennedy, both of Whitsett, Todd Dorrell of Greensboro, Denis Crnojevic of Jamestown and Chris Forester of Asheboro. Honorary groomsmen were Doug Brown of Conover and Chad Brown of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, both brothers of the bride, Dr. Cleve Dunn of Asheboro and Chris Dunn of Asheboro, both uncles of the groom, and Jon Dunn of Asheboro, cousin of the groom.
Other participants were flower girl Peyton Routh of Sophia; Jaime Brown of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, sister-in-law of the bride, who attended the guest registrar and distributed programs; Rebecca Snow of Asheboro, wedding director; and musicians Mike Cox and Chuck Welch, both of Asheboro.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the mother of the groom at Magnolia on Worth in Asheboro.
A reception was hosted by the parents of the bride at The Centennial Station in High Point, following the ceremony.
The couple spent their honeymoon at Sandals St. Lucia Halcyon Resort. They live in Asheboro.
