WEDDING: Hunt-Hutchison

Mary Gray Hutchison of Raleigh became the bride of Brian David Hunt of Raleigh on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at White Memorial Presbyterian Church in Raleigh with the Rev. Lisa Hebacker officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Gray Hutchison Jr. of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. H. Gray Hutchison of Raleigh, the late H. Gray Hutchison, the late Wilson Wyatt Henry, Velma Watts Henry and Winnie Puckett Henry.

She is a graduate of Broughton High School in Raleigh. She received a bachelor of science degree in food science and a bachelor of science degree in biology, with a concentration in nutrition from N.C. State University and a master’s degree in public health from UNC-Chapel Hill. She is employed as a nutritionist at Healthy Diets Inc. in Raleigh.

The groom is the son of Deborah Honea Hunt of Raleigh, formerly of Asheboro. He is the grandson of Bobbie Waters of Asheboro, the late Murdew Waters, the late C.L. Honea, and David and Margaret Hunt of Hendersonville.

The groom attended Broughton High School in Raleigh and Wake Technical Community College. He is employed as a senior special events technician at Duke University.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, H. Gray Hutchison Jr. She wore a strapless silk duponi gown with sweetheart neckline and gathered crossover bodice. The gown has a fit and flare skirt with cathedral train and large bow.

The matron of honor was Lee Hutchison Veit of Raleigh, sister of the bride. The maid of honor was Laura Wyatt Hutchison of New York, N.Y., twin sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Corrie Berkemeyer of New York, N.Y., friend of the bride; Rachael Hunt Elmore of Charlotte, sister of the groom; Kay Hutchison of Atlanta, Ga., cousin of the bride; and Jessica Gleffe Pratt of Irvine, Calif., friend of the bride. Helen Wein, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

The best man was David Summey of Holly Springs, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Chris Brooks of Raleigh, friend of the groom; Joe Bulkowski of Raleigh, friend of the groom; Mitchell Elmore of Charlotte, brother-in-law of the groom; and Bob Uzabel of Raleigh, friend of the groom.

Greeters were Veronica Handeland of Pickstown, S.D., friend of the bride; and Katie Henry and Kristen Henry of Huntersville, cousins of the bride. Scripture readers were Rob Saunders and Wes Saunders of Winston-Salem, cousins of the bride. Vocalist and soloist was Lisa Blair-Hawkins of Raleigh.

The parents of the bride hosted the wedding reception at the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh. The mother of the groom, Deborah Honea Hunt, and grandmother of the groom, Bobbie Waters, hosted the rehearsal dinner for the bridal party, family and out-of-town guests at 1705 PRIME in Raleigh.

Following a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple will live in Raleigh.
