Wedding: Kirby-Bullins

Virginia Kathryn Bullins became the bride of Dylan Patrick Kirby on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2010, on the beach at The Ritz-Carlton at Kapalua Resort in Maui, Hawaii, with the Rev. Paul D. Tangonan of Lahaina United Methodist Church officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Carol Bullins of Asheboro and the granddaughter of Francis Bullins of Asheboro, the late J.C. Bullins, Evelyn Tillman of Asheboro and the late Horace Tillman.

She is a 1999 graduate of Greensboro Day School and a 2003 graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn., where she received a liberal arts degree.

She is employed at Home Trust Bank in Asheville.

The groom is the son of Bill A. and Nancy Kirby of Asheboro and the grandson of the late Howard and Effie Lam and the late Ross and Rita Garletts.

He is a 1999 graduate of Southwestern Randolph High School in Asheboro and a 2004 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he received a degree in political science. He is employed at 84 Lumber in Asheville.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Jerry Bullins.

The wedding party included the bride and groom’s parents; Holly Bullins, the bride’s sister, and her husband, John Archer; Chris Armitage, the bride’s cousin, and her husband, Luke Armitage; and Rita Osorio and Paige Kirby, the groom’s sisters.

The reception was held at The Pineapple Grill in Kapalula.

The rehearsal dinner was held at the Old Lahaina Luau.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Kauai, Hawaii. They live in Asheville, N.C.
