    The Randolph Guide invites all churches in the area to submit news items of interest to our readers. We encourage you to submit your items as much in advance as possible to give your church maximum publicity. All church news runs on a space available basis.

    Sept. 18
    7 a.m.-noon: Shiloh United Methodist Church, 7394 Shiloh Road in Liberty, holds a community year sale. Table rentals will be $10. Snacks and drinks will be available. Contact Lori at (336) 908-1444 or Anna at (336) 209-1069 to reserve a table.

    Sept. 19
    4:30 p.m.: Concord United Methodist Church of Coleridge holds a bluegrass gospel concert featuring The Cockman Family from Sherrills Ford and Amazing Grace Quartet. A love offering will be received. The church is located seven miles south of Ramseur on N.C. 22.

    Revivals/Meetings/Etc.
    Grays Chapel United Methodist Church, 5056 N.C. 22 North in Franklinville, hosts Ice on Fire, a Bible conference with author and pastor Scott Kelso, from Sept. 12 through Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. each night.
    Grays Chapel United Methodist Church, 5056 N.C. 22 North in Franklinville, hosts Craig and Jenni Marsh in their return to the church from Oct. 19 through Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. each night. The Marshes are from New Zealand and travel and minister all over the world.

    Other notices
    Bible Believers Fellowship on Faith Trail Drive holds a singing the first Friday of each month at 7:30 p.m.
    Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 816 MLK Jr. Drive in Asheboro, holds Abundant Life fitness and wellness programs from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Participants should arrive before 9:30 a.m. Call (336) 625-6994 for more information.
    Greater St. John Baptist Church, 819 MLK Jr. Drive in Asheboro holds food distribution from 10 a.m. to noon the second and fourth Saturday of each month.
    Hardee's of Ramseur, 148 Jordan Road in Ramseur, holds gospel singings from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. each Thursday.
    Hardee's of Randleman, 704 W. Academy St. in Randleman, holds singings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. each Monday.
    Hopewell Friends Meeting, 2244 Hopewell Friends Road in Asheboro, opens its food pantry from 9 a.m. to noon the fourth Saturday of each month.
    Level Cross United Methodist Church, 10142 U.S. 220 Business North in Level Cross, opens its food pantry from 8 a.m. to noon the second Saturday of every month.
    Pleasant Ridge Church, 1426 Pleasant Ridge Road in Ramseur, holds a gospel singing the second Saturday of each month. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the singing begins at 6 p.m.
    Randleman School Commons, 130 W. Academy St. in Randleman, hosts free gospel singings at 6 p.m. each Saturday night. Call (336) 495-5229 for more information.
    Salt Box at the Asheboro Senior Center on Wainman Avenue holds a free gospel singing at the Asheboro Senior Center, 133 W. Wainman Ave., from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. each Friday.
    Sunset Avenue Church of God, 900 Sunset Ave. in Asheboro, hosts Aglow: An International Christian Women's Organization at 9 a.m. the first Saturday of each month. A speaker is featured each month.
    Wesley Chapel AME Zion Church and Randolph Community College offer free basic skills refresher classes at the church from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Call Jan Boles at (336) 633-0273 for more information.
