CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Wade McClendon “Buddy” Goins, 69, formerly of Randolph County, N.C., died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010.

A memorial service was held Aug. 27, 2010, at Mt. Tabor Community Church in Asheboro, N.C., with the Rev. Stephen Stowe presiding.

He had worked at The Courier-Tribune and retired from The Houston Chronicle.

Surviving are David Goins of Asheboro, N.C., Leon “John” Goins of Corpus Christi and Curtis Goins.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
