LIBERTY — Elsie McNeill Hester, 85, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at Blumenthal Jewish Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

The funeral was held Sept. 1, 2010, at Loflin Funeral Home. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery.

She was a Randolph County native, widow of Rez Hester, and bookkeeper for Smith Motor Co. and Smith Tractor Co.

Surviving are son, Pat Hester of Greensboro; daughter, Susan Peters of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister, Betty Phillips of Durham; four grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, N.C. 27405.
