RALEIGH —
Ralph Emerson Whatley Jr., 84, formerly of Randolph County, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010.
A private service was held.
He was a Ulah native, attended Randolph County public schools and Elon College, was the widower of Correne “Corky” Whatley, member of White Memorial Presbyterian Church and had worked for Belk department stores.
Surviving are sons, Ralph Whatley III of Roanoke, Va., and Bill Whatley of Spring, Texas; brother, Wendell Norris Whatley of Asheboro; four grandchildren.
