LIBERTY — Northeastern Randolph Middle School's Husky Science Olympiad Team made history when it competed in the N.C. Science Olympiad's regional tournament held Feb. 20 in Greensboro. The Huskies were among schools from 11 counties to compete and were the only team from Randolph County.
Thirty three students entered 38 of 46 events, medaling in 16 of them. Twenty four Olympians earned a total of 37 medals. The junior varsity team capped a successful day, capturing second place in the team competition.
