ASHEBORO — Young Life of Randolph County will sponsor a golf tournament Aug. 19 at Pinewood Country Club to raise funds for the local chapter in its efforts to involve teenagers and adolescents with Christian precepts.

This will be Young Life’s inaugural tourney for Randolph. Golf chairman Steve Williams said the project needs sponsors and participants.

“Connecting with kids and showing them that someone cares is the most significant thing an adult can do, and our organization helps them deal with problems they will face,” he said.

The Captain’s Choice event will have prizes for winners in all flights and will include lunch and multiple opportunities for other prizes. The fee is $80 per player.

Young Life is a non-denominational Christian outreach program providing one-on-one and group activities for high-schoolers showing Christianity’s relevance in their lives. Interested sponsors and participants can Williams at (336) 465-1942 or send him an e-mail at Steve.Williams@axa-advisors.com
