ASHEBORO — A Ping-Pong tournament will be held Feb. 6 at the Cedar Grove Community on New Union Church Road in Asheboro. The format is a singles tournament, double elimination and best 2 out of 3 games to 11.
The tournament is open to anyone but will be limited to the first 40 people who sign up. Registration will be from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. with the first games beginning at 9 a.m. The entry fee is $10 with proceeds going to the revitalization of the Cedar Grove Community Center.
The tournament champion will win $100, the second place finisher will receive $50 and third place will pay $25. The winners will also receive plaques. Refreshments will be served all day and biscuits will be available for breakfast. Spectators are welcome.
