ASHEBORO – Mary Altha Luther Byerly, 83, of 400 Vision Drive, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at Randolph Hospital.
The funeral was held Feb. 10, 2010, at Ridge Funeral Home with the Rev. John Byerly and the Rev. Pete Rozier officiating. Burial was at Bethel Baptist Church cemetery.
She was a Davidson County native and widow of Rashoe Lee Byerly.

Tracy M. Comer
SEAGROVE – Tracy M. Comer, 90, of 388 Jugtown Road, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at his home.
The funeral was held Feb. 9, 2010, at Needhams Grove Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. James Cockram and the Rev. Arnold Comer officiating. Burial with military honors was at the church cemetery.
He was a Randolph County native, widower of Dorothy Comer, World War II veteran, and retired lumber hauler and farmer.

ASHEBORO – Joan Estelle Simons Goldman, 77, of 701 Oakmont Drive, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at Moses Cone Hospital.
A private service was held. She was a Pajet, Bermuda, native. Survivors include daughters Gail Beane of Asheboro and Tanya Stewart of Tampa, Fla.; son, Neil Flood of Stewart, Fla.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

RANDLEMAN – James W. Greene of Randleman died Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at Randolph Hospital.
A memorial service was held Feb. 6, 2010, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Randleman, where he was a member.
He was an Air Force veteran and retired bus driver.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Mae Frances Greene of the home; daughters, Barbara Lewis and Tamika M. Greene of Greensboro, and Pamela K. Greene of Randleman.

RANDLEMAN – James Lee Hall Jr., 86, of 1066 Worthville Road, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at his home.

He was a Randolph County native, World War II Army veteran, retired from Nixon-Reynolds Hosiery and member of The Bluegrass Band.

SOPHIA – Betty Ann Cline Hulka, 65, of 2941 Old County Farm Road, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at Randolph Hospital.

He was a Randolph County native, Army veteran and formerly worked at High Point Woodworking.

RAMSEUR – Robert Lee “Bob” Pugh, 83, of 4353 Jones St. Ext., died Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at Randolph Hospital.

She was a Troy native, widow of Charlie O. Williams, had worked at Anchor, Belk, Tobias and Teen haven, and retired as Central Falls postmaster.
