ASHEBORO — The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office has filed additional charges against Michael Shane Doss in connection with the stabbing death of Michael Carr on June 29. Doss, who was initially charged with second-degree murder, was charged July 2 with breaking and entering a motor vehicle, second-degree kidnapping and attempted common law robbery.
After the incident involving Carr, Doss attempted to flee the area by stealing the Ford truck of a passing motorist. In doing so Doss broke a window out of the truck, entered the truck and assaulted the driver. The driver was able to defend himself against Doss. Doss then fled the area. Doss was arrested a short time later on Walking Stick Lane.
