Applications available for CFRC financial aid

ASHEBORO — Charitable organizations are invited to apply for financial support for local projects through the Community Foundation for Randolph County (CFRC). The Foundation has approximately $7,000 to award for philanthropic purposes in the arts, the environment, health, human services and other fields that benefit the communities of Randolph County.

Special consideration will be given to proposals addressing needs resulting from the current economic situation.

Community Foundation for Randolph County is one of 59 affiliates of the statewide N.C. Community Foundation. CFRC is a nonprofit, publicly-supported philanthropic institution that manages a pool of charitable funds whose income is used to benefit the community in grants to nonprofit organizations, educational programs and scholarships.

Applications are available online at www.nccommunityfoundation.org under grants/Randolph County of the N. C. Community Foundation Web site. The deadline for applying is July 1. Applications must be postmarked or in-hand on this date. For information, call Bonnie Renfro at 626-2233 or Mary Anne Howard at (919) 256-6924.
