FFA students attend state leadership conference

----

WHITE LAKE — Six members of the Randleman FFA Chapter attended the 47th annual North Carolina FFA Association's annual state leadership conference held Aug. 2 through Aug. 6 at the N.C. FFA Center in White Lake.

Randleman FFA Chapter officers Adam Frazier, Jessica Davis, Caroline Akes, Alexandria Ketison and Ryan Vickers and committee chair Caitlin Walker joined more than 150 FFA members from across the state.

“The State Leadership Conference provides students with an opportunity to explore the FFA and learn ways to impact their chapters, schools and communities after returning home,” said Joshua Bledsoe, State FFA advisor. “Students that participate in this conference are the future leaders of our organization.”

Focusing on the importance of teamwork, communication skills, goal setting, FFA history, opportunities and risk taking, students explore many facets of their leadership potential. A staff composed of the current State FFA Officer team, Past State FFA Officers and the past National FFA  President Paul Moya created a high quality, fast paced, enthusiastic conference.

“This conference is the training grounds for our members to make significant contributions to their chapters and our association,” states Jason Davis, State FFA coordinator. “Most importantly, this is an opportunity for members to grow personally.”
