Randolph County Volunteer Opportunities

Girl Scouts

Position: Summer assistant leadership opportunity

Needed: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Mondays

Description: Assist Girl Scouts leader in carrying out activities with girls during YMCA summer enrichment program.

Requirements: Must be age 16 or older and have own transportation. Volunteer will be subject to background check.

Asheboro YMCA

Position: Best Friends Program

Needed: Flexible

Description: Mentor area youth

Requirements: Must be 18

Cross Road

Retirement Center

Position: Mercantile store keeper

Needed: Flexible hours from morning to early afternoon on Saturdays

Description: Retail duties, running cash register, making/serving coffee and assisting resident seniors.

Requirements: Must be 16 with transportation

Randolph County 4-H

Position: 4-H agent

Needed: Flexible

Description: Adults to lead group activities and 4-H club meetings

Requirements: Must be 18. Will include an application process.

Communities In Schools of Randolph County

Position: Mentor

Needed: One hour a week. Weekdays between hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. and weekends after 5 p.m.

Description: Needs volunteers to mentor school-age students who are targeted for at-risk of dropping out of school.

Requirements: None. Must pass a background check
